Running Boys

The boys have been spending a lot more time in the running stroller lately. Tyler and I enjoy running together and since we are training for the St. George Marathon, we spend a lot of time running. Mace loves to run with us. He gets his little running shoes on and runs for about an 1/8 of a mile. He loves to wear my finishers metal from my San Diego run.

I love this and hope that after the marathon is over, we can keep running together and making fun memories!

Cookie Monster

When Mace was born, my grandma gave him the cutest cookie monster stuffed animal. Mace has always loved it. Cruz has been so jealous of it. Well, for Cruz's birthday, my grandma gave him his own cookie monster. It is really cute watching him. This cookie monster has a backpack with cookies that you can put in his mouth. Cruz has already figured out how to put the in and then find them in his backpack and then start over.

Playing with Cruz's birthday presents

It is so much fun watching the kids play together. It is nice having new toys! They are such great little buddies!

Swimming

We love having a pool in our neighborhood!

Pinterest Inspired- Making a Soap Cloud!

I found an idea on pinterest to make a cloud out of soap. It was really fun trying a new experiment with the kids. Mace thought it was so cool.

You start by getting a bar of Ivory soap. (Yes, it has to be Ivory.)

You put the bar in the microwave for a few minutes. The cloud starts forming pretty quick, but it will continue to grow most of the time.

This is what part of the bar looks like.

Be careful not to drop it. Oops!!

We decided to finish the rest of the activity outside. We let the boys crush the cloud up. (It is super flaky!) Then we added a little bit of water and food coloring and molded the soap using cookie cutters. The boys had fun playing in the water.

We let the molds of soap dry up and now they are in the bathtub. Mace likes using them to get clean. I think Cruz could care less.

Little Friends

We were recently able to watch Gage while his parents worked. Gage and Cruz were born 5 days apart. They love playing together and I love watching them.

Funny Face

Cruz has the best little wink. Whenever the flash goes off, he blinks his right eye. It is so cute.

Seven Peaks

This year, we bought some pass of passes from Seven Peaks. We have been there a few times this summer and love it. One of the times we went, the people next to us packed up and left. They also left there tubes behind. Mace and Cruz found that they make great toys to play in!

Hanging with the Cousins

A few weeks ago, we spent the night with Whitney, Chad, Cooper, Lucy and Cason. It was really fun. We went to the City Creek Center and enjoyed window shopping and getting some food. We let the kids play in the dinosaur play area. They loved it! I am pretty sure we could have stayed all night and the kids would have been happy as can be.

I hate when our camera focuses on the wrong thing. This picture would have been much cuter. Oh well. Still cute.

Cruz was making me laugh so hard. He loved playing in this tunnel area. He would crawl to one side, look out and then turn around and go to the other side and then repeat. He was so happy in there.

Cason, looking as cute as ever!

Salt Lake Temple

We went to the Salt Lake Temple a few weeks ago. It was a perfect evening to be outside and enjoying Salt Lake. We went with my sister and her family. The kids really loved being close to the temple.

Huge Slip and Slide

In my sister's family, they have a yearly summer tradition of getting the family together and playing on some huge slip and slides. They own and rent a few banners, set them up on a hill and use soap and water to make it slippery. Everyone brings tubes and everyone had a good time.

This year, we were lucky enough to be invited. We had so much fun. Mace loved it, but I am not too sure about Cruz. We can't wait for next summer!
