Mace telling Jokes

This morning, Mace and I were eating breakfast. He starts talking in his jiber jaber and laughing! It was so funny. He is getting more personality everyday! I love him!

The Battle

Sometimes, medicine is no fun to take.

This makes me think of Mary Poppins.

"Just a spoon full of sugar helps the medicine go down!"

Only 9 more doses to go . . . .

Happy Birthday Tyler!

Last week we celebrated Tyler's birthday! Our friends, Jesse and Angela Coleman-Martinez watched Mace while Tyler and I got dinner to go at Barbacoa! (Our favorite!) We ate at the park, walked around and then went and walked through some houses that were being built. (Another one of our favorite things to do together!) We found a house that made us feel dizzy! Then, we went to Tyler's parent's house because his grandparents had just come in to town! Tyler got money, a basketball, football and soccer ball (all for him and Mace to play together) and an avalung! I sure hope you had a great day babe! I love you!

Mosquitoes

Last week, we went bouldering with our friends, Greg and Mallary Carling. It was great! The worst part was getting bit by mosquitoes about 40 times!

Here is my right arm. You can see the swelling from so many bites!

The back part of my right arm.

It was very hard to keep from itching!

Brotherly Fun

Last night, we had a going away part for Brad. He is leaving on Wednesday to New York. He will be attending NYU for law school! (BTW, NYU is ranked among the top 5 schools in the country!) We are very proud to have Brad as our brother. He is a great guy and we are going to miss him terribly!

Here is how Tyler and Brad celebrated:

Tyler didn't want a lot of whipped cream on his strawberry shortcake. Brad wanted him to have a lot, so he piled more whipped cream on Tyler's plate. To get rid of the unwanted whipped cream, Tyler smashed his plate into Brad's face! Brad, then returned the favor!

Stretching . . . .

A Nicholson tradition: trying to kick the cords on the fan.
(Make sure you check out their faces! Completely PRICELESS!)

Goofing around

We love you Brad!

Swallow your food!

Mace forgets to chew and swallow sometimes!
I love the chipmunk cheeks!

Basketball in the Bath

Mace got a basketball hoop that he can play with in the bath for his birthday! He loves it! It is really funny to watch him shoot! Go Mace!

Park City

Tyler took me on a surprise date on Monday. He told me that we were going on a date, but he wouldn't give me any clues. We dropped Mace off at Tyler's parents and took off! We drove to Park City, where we went shopping in the outlet malls. Then, we went to the theaters and saw Inception. We really enjoyed the movie! Then, for my final surprise, Tyler told me that he had reserved a hotel room and we were staying the night! Tyler is such a great husband! Thank you so much for the wonderful surprise! It was a great night and I had fun spending time with you!

Feeding the Ducks

Mace loves the ducks! And I am sure they love the bread we bring them! Mace holds a small piece of bread in each hand and refuses to give the ducks anything!

It is a fun way to spend some time outside!

Ophir Canyon

Last weekend we went decided to go somewhere neither of us had ever been. We looked online and found Ophir Canyon. It wasn't too far away so we packed a lunch and took off! We found the city of Ophir pretty easy. It is a small, old mining town. There is only one road (Main Street), which everything is off of.

This is the Town Hall and Fire Station

Have you ever seen a town that posts a "Quiet Time" sign?

We visited the historical park

We had a lot of fun and decided that we want to explore more places that we have never been!

Tyler and Mace driving in the Basement

We put Mace's dump truck together that Grandma and Grandpa McCormick gave him! He loves it! Fun family times! I am so glad that he laughed in this movie! This is how he laughs all the time! It sounds like he is coughing or trying to clear his throat! So funny!

Mace Destroying his Birthday Cake!

I just love watching this movie! It makes me laugh every time! I thought Mace would do a pretty good job at eating/destroying his birthday cake, but I had no idea this is how it would be! I love this little guy so much! He has changed my life so much! I love being a mommy. I never knew how much I could love a person until he came into our lives. My love for Tyler grew so much the day Mace was born! We are so lucky and blessed that we get to be parents!

My camera was struggling with the focus during this movie. Anyone want to donate to the fund to buy me a new video camera?

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MACE!!

Mace turned ONE last Wednesday! I can't believe how fast a year can go by! Mace is such a smart boy! He had so much fun at his party! We celebrated with family and friends! We are lucky to have so many people who love Mace!

Here is most of the group eating dinner!

Starting to open his gifts! He wasn't too into them, he just wanted to go play with Grandma Donna!

Me trying to show him how exciting new toys are!

He did love the new clothes he got- maybe it was because they were from Grandma Donna!

Hanging out with one of his favorite people- Grandma Donna!

The Cookie Monster cupcakes my friend Angela and I made!

The Before Picture!

Time for cake!

"Let the destroying begin!"

He knew just what to do!

I think this was his favorite part of the party!

I am not sure how much he actually ate!

It was too much fun tearing it apart!

He is just so cute!

Grandpa Roy volunteered to help clean him up!

As long as Grandma Donna was with him!

The After Picture

I took this after Mace was all cleaned up- I thought it turned out really cute!

Thanks to everyone who came and helped Mace celebrate his first birthday! We had such a fun evening and it was great to be with the people we love!

The Ladder

Tyler got Mace a ladder for his birthday- I know what you are thinking, "He is still learning how to walk, how is he going to climb up a ladder?" Well remember this? Tyler thought Mace would love to hang from it, just like jungle gym bars. Mace loved helping Tyler get the ladder ready for use and he even tried hanging a little bit. I think he will love it as he plays with it more!

p.s. This is down in our almost finished basement!
