Going to the Aquarium

Today, Mace and I went to the Aquarium with Whitney and Maddi. We had so much fun! I am so glad that I bought a membership, so now we can go whenever we want.

My helper in the Kitchen

In an attempt to entertain Mace, I put the bowl on his high chair tray and had him help me stir the pasta. He liked it so much, that he wanted to eat out of the BIG bowl. Funny little boy!

Here are a few clips Tyler and I made.
The second one is the funniest!

Seriously, I could watch this all day!

The Diaper Challange

Mace does not like wearing a diaper lately. (I have plans to potty train at the end of June, when the semester is over.) A few days ago, I got him out of the bath. He wanted his boots on and as soon as he got them on, he took off.

This is definitely one of those pictures to show future girlfriends!

I told Mace it was time to put a diaper on. He then yelled, "No Way Mom! Shhh!"
It is impossible to get mad when Mace is so cute!

Grandma's Birthday

A few weeks ago we celebrated my Grandma's Birthday! My sister, Whitney, had the idea of getting everyone to pitch in and get her a vacuum! My Grandma had been wanting a new one for a a while now.

She barely got the card open before the tears started flowing.

She passed the card to my Grandpa, who didn't make it very far before he started crying too.

Opening presents is much more fun when you have little helpers!

Even though you can't tell, she was so excited!

Trying it out for the first time.

Singing "Happy Birthday!"

Two of the best people in the whole world!

Their classic pose!

All the grandchildren and great-grandchildren in attendance.

Lucy and Mace having fun on the box the vacuum came in. Lucy is so pretty!

Grandpa and his new whistle.

He thought he was pretty funny!

It was really fun to get everyone together! We are so lucky to have such a wonderful Grandma! She means the world to us!

Going to the Zoo!

Last Saturday, we headed to the zoo! It was a blast! We were so excited to take Mace because he knows quite a few animal names. I think he was surprised to see them in real life!

It was really fun to spend time together as a family. Life has kept us pretty busy lately. We bought a zoo membership, so it is nice to know that we can go whenever we want to!!

Oh Mace!

This is what happens when Mace finds  a bowl and a box of cereal. At least he got some of it in the bowl, right?

Yep Buddy, I am pretty sure you got ALL the cereal out of the box, but go ahead and shake it again to make sure!

Thanks for helping Mommy clean it up!

One way to get rid of the evidence, is to simply eat it!

Mom, I don't really want to take a picture with you!

He got what he wanted!

And that makes for a happy Mace!

Mount Millicent with Greg

On April 30th, Greg and I planned a big tour around Brighton ski resort.  The resort closed a couple weeks ago, so we had had first tracks pretty much all day.  It had snowed about 12" of light powder the night before.  The snow was great until the sun came out of the clouds for just a few minutes in the early afternoon.

Our goal was to do 6,000 vertical feet in preparation for climbing Mt. Adams and Mt. Hood in two weeks.

Our first lap we went down right next to the Millicent lift.

Our second lap we went a little higher up on Mount Millicent which required us to take off our skis and hike up the crusty slope.

We started down at the Gazex

There were huge cornices all around Patsy Marley and Mt. Wolverine.  Here is a picture of someone on top of Patsy Marley.  How big do you think that cornice is?

The same person skiing down

At the top of Millicent

The snow turned from perfect 12" powder to 8" of wet junk after only 20 minutes of sun.

Greg had a pretty good crash down the steepest section we skied all day:

Ouch!
