This is what Mace looks like . . . .

. . . . . when he wants you for some reason.

As soon as you give him your hand, he will take it and basically throw it as whatever he needs help with. (Along with a bunch of frustrated noises!)

The Cabin

Last weekend we drove close to Scofield and stayed in our brother-in-law's, parent's cabin. It was so much fun! The weather was PERFECT! The drive there was so beautiful. I think fall is my favorite time of the year!

Here are the kids playing on a merry-go-round that Chad's dad built!

See what I mean? BEAUTIFUL!

MORE!

Tyler and I have been trying to teach Mace a few words in sign language lately.
The first word we taught was 'more.' He picked up on it pretty fast. We are trying to help him to be able to express himself. He gets pretty frustrated when we can't understand him.

Any advice on helping him learn is appreciated!

A new way of doing things

I have been wanting to make my own Laundry Soap for a while now.
I just bought all the ingredients and finally did it!

Here is the recipe I used. I found it here.

Water

1 bar grated Fels Naptha soap

5 gallon bucket

1 cup washing soda (Again, Arm and Hammer)

1 cup 20 Mule Team Borax

4 1/2 gallons water
First, I gathered all of my ingredients.
(Total cost: $10.44 at Smith's grocery store. Everything except for the Fels Naptha will last a really long time!)

I got my bucket at Home Depot.

Grated my Fels Naptha.

Put it in my frying pan and covered it with water to melt the soap.

I measured out 1 cup each of the borax and washing soda.

Once the soap was melted, I put everything in the 5 gallon bucket, which was already filled with about 4 1/2 gallons of hot water.

I am still testing it out, but so far, so good!

The Play Station Move

The other day, Tyler and I were playing Gladiator Duels on our new Play Station Move. (The Move is amazing and you should buy it!) Mace was wandering around playing with his toys. Then, during Tyler's turn, Mace stands in front of the TV. He was holding a toy hammer, and swinging it just like Tyler was. He was paying very close attention to the TV and what we were doing! We laughed so hard! He is such a smart little boy! I love it!

(Don't mind the mess! That door behind Mace is our storage room. We are in the process of organizing it! Thanks Mom and Dad for the storage shelves!)

Anyone miss the 80's?

Last night, I got together with my favorite bunch of girls! We decided on an 80's theme! We had so much fun acting like teenagers again!

Doing back-bends was not a good idea for me to do in a dress!

We played MASHO! I marry TyTy, drive a minivan, make $5.62/year, have 10 kids, live in a mansion in California, own a vacation home in Hawaii, and die when I am 89! (It all sounds good except my income! haha)

Goodbye Summer

Last Monday, we celebrated with Tyler's family for Labor day!

First, we looked through 3D glasses to help us decide on a place to hike.

We decided to go to Lake Mary

Roy, Mace (hiding on my back,) Sadie, Ben, Meredith and Elizabeth

Mace had fun eating Grandpa's food, taking his hat and glasses, and taking Grandpa on walks.

Tyler and Ben had fun skipping rocks across the lake.
Family Picture (Mace wouldn't let us hold him!)
(We didn't know that they had drained most of the lake. It was really cool being on ground that is usually underwater!)

Beautiful Blue

Yesterday, my sister, Whitney invited Mace and I to come to Wheeler Farm with them to take some pictures. Mace and I had so much fun! Mace was great at smiling and being happy!

I was only going to post one picture, but I couldn't decide which one!

I love them all!

(And there are more! I just need to get the rest from my sister!)
