Fun Times

Here are a few pics of a fun night and morning with the boys.

Mace is very good at stirring waffles. He wanted to add a starburst to the mix, but was even happier when I told him he could eat it!

Cruz looks SO grumpy in the pic. I love it! Really, he hadn't been awake that long. He wanted to ride the bike, but his eyes hadn't adjusted to daylight yet!

Fishing Game

Mace got a fishing game for his birthday. Whoever gave it to him, THANK YOU!! This is one of Mace's favorite games. We play it all the time.

It is pretty impossible to play it without cheating. Cruz is especially good at cheating in this game!

Friend Birthday Party

After Mace's birthday party, we went to a party at Liberty Park with several of Tyler's friends. The party was to celebrate Kyle and several other birthdays. Many of Tyler's friends celebrate their birthdays in July or August.

The boys finally fell asleep and took a nap on the way to Liberty Park.

Scott and Katy were in town from Colorado. It was so much fun to see and visit with them.

We brought the 2-liter bottle and shot off the bottles like rockets, just like we did at Mace's party.

I shot it off and of coarse I got the bottle stuck in the tree. It was so cute watching as Mace and Ginger took turns wearing the jet pack, standing under the tree, trying to boost each other up to get the lost bottle. Too bad the jet pack was broken.

Such great little friends. (Sometimes, Mace claims Ginger as his girlfriend!)

Everyone that came and hung out at the party.

Tyler threw Mace in the air with his jet pack on! :)

Mace's Third Birthday Party

For the past several months, Mace and I have been planning his birthday party. Together we planned the theme, the guest list, the menu and even the activities. It was so much fun working together. I don't know who was more excited, me or Mace!

It was so much fun to get the big day started! Mace and Cruz went to their grandpa's house, while Tyler and I finished the party preparations. We finished just before the party was to start. Tyler raced to his parent's house to get Mace and Cruz. Mace was almost late to his own party!

Once the party started, Mace could only focus on opening his birthday presents. After trying to distract him several times, we finally let him open his gifts. I am not really sure, who gave what. Everything got opened and everyone was playing with all the new toys before I could blink.

After the gifts were opened, we headed up stairs for lunch. We made rocket PB&Js with carrots for flames, star and moon fruit and string cheese. Everyone seemed to like their food.

We watched rocket launches on youtube

We played pin the rocket on the planet.

We went outside and the kids watched as Tyler and Chad did a few 'rocket' experiments. We did the mentos and diet coke and also pressurized the air inside a 2-liter bottle and shot it high in the sky. The kids thought both were pretty cool.

We sang happy birthday and had cupcakes and rocket popsicles.

We made and gave each of the kids their own jet pack.

I painted this rocket ship on a big cardboard box. It was fun (and tougher than I would have thought) to get each child in there with Mace and have both of them smiling.

Overall, the party was a HUGE success. It was so much fun to see Mace soaking in his special day. He had such a good time. I think he was a little sad when the party was over. He has asked me a few times if he can have another party for his birthday. I told him he can have a party when he is four, so needless to say, we are already planning his next party! :) I definitely learned a few things for the next time we have so many little kids at our house!
