We got a new car

A few weeks ago, we got in trouble with our HOA because of an oil spot on our driveway. We thought it was really silly, but decided we would take our Geo to the shop to see how much it would cost to fix it. We thought it would be around $100. The bid came back at almost $700, because it was leaking in four places. We had been thinking about getting a new car, but were waiting till the Geo cost more to fix than it was worth. We felt like we were officially there. The car runs great, but needs other repairs, besides fixing the leaks. It took us a long time to decide which type of car would be best for our family. We finally decided on this:

A 2005 Subaru Outback!

We love our new car! It is Tyler's car for now. He frequently talks about how much he likes it. It is quite an upgrade from the Geo. We are planning to sell the Geo. It is a bittersweet feeling. We have had that car since we got married and have made a lot of memories in it. We are really excited about all the adventures we will have in our new car though!

Peek-A-Boo

Cruz had really started to enjoy playing peek-a-boo. It is really cute to watch him hide. He loves to hide behind his little hands! He always has the biggest  smile when he pops his head up!

Where's Cruz?

Peek-a-Boo!

These pictures were taken last Sunday. Cruz had been sick the whole week before. It was great to have our happy little Cruzer back. He had a viral infection that was causing diarrhea and vomiting, ear infections in both ears, a bad diaper rash (from the diarrhea) and a yeast infection in his diaper. He was also dehydrated and teething. He went to the doctor's office twice. I was so impressed with the pediatrician that we saw, so much that we have decided to switch to him. Cruz even got a new shirt at one of the check-ups because he had. had an awful blowout! He was pretty much back to normal on Sunday, especially after his tooth cut through the gums! (He now has EIGHT teeth!!)

We felt so bad for him, but glad that he is feeling better!

Flight Park

We have been to the flight park on South Mountain a few times this week. We love it there. The views are amazing and it is fun to watch people paragliding.

There is a trail that goes to the top of South Mountain. Tyler decided to climb it, and get a good workout in. If you look closely, you will see Tyler near the start of the trail. It is really steep and deceivingly long.

Mace and I hung out in the car because Cruz was asleep and it was a little chilly.

Then, on Friday night, Tyler's parents' offered to watch our kids and let us go on a date! After much deliberation (and taking turns making all the decisions) we settled on going to Cafe Rio. Afterwards, we decided to drive back to the flight park and climb up the trail together.

It was pretty crazy going up and down the trail. It is very steep! There are ropes to hold on to, and thank goodness they are there, because I wouldn't have made it without them!

I am so glad we were able to go out. We are lucky to have Tyler's parents to watch our kids. We had a great night together!

New Bunk Beds?

Mace has figured out how to climb up a few shelves in the closet. He is getting so big. Once he was up there, he wanted Cruz to join him.

When Tyler got home from work, he put Mace on the top shelf. Cruz was once again invited to join. It was so fun watching the kids laugh and play together! The video is a bit long, but it is really cute!

Homemade Popsicles

We made some homemade popsicles a while back. They were super yummy!

Mace made the silliest faces as he was eating one. Tyler was calling it 'his exertion face.'

Tyler decided to join in and make funny faces, too.

Love this cute face!

Can't wait till we make more!

Grandma Donna's Birthday

We celebrated Donna's Birthday a few weeks ago. We always have so much fun at Tyler's parents' house. Mace loves spending time with Sadie and Meredith!

I love this picture, because for one, Mace looks so grown up and two, because Ben's face cracks me up!

Happy Birthday Donna! We are so grateful for you! Love ya!

Dinosaur Museum

A few weeks ago, we were able to go to the Dinosaur Museum at Thanksgiving Point. It was so much fun. It was a lot cooler than I thought it would be. Tyler and I really like this kind of stuff.

They have a cool, hands-on area for kids, were you can build with sand, water and plastic dinosaurs. Mace loved it!

This is another kid area. We had a lot of fun uncovering dinosaur bones!

Overall, it was a great day and we had a lot of fun spending time together!

South Mountain Flight Park Sunset

We went to the Flight Park on South Mountain. We took these fun silhouette pictures!

Playing at the Park

A while back, we went to a fun park on South Mountain. The kids loved it! Mace was so brave. I can't believe how grown up he is getting!

This picture needs a funny caption. Ideas?

I seriously love this face! (And the cute fat roll!)

Cruz was pretty brave, too! He held on for a few seconds.

Mace eating a warhead candy

A while ago, we thought it would be funny to give Mace one of these:

And we also thought it would be fun to record him at the same time.

It kind of makes me feel bad that we did this, but then it is really funny. Poor Mace. We gave one to our niece, to give to her dad, Tyler's older brother, on Easter. He couldn't do it and immediately spit it in the trash. The girls thought it was funny!

Guess who figured out how to crawl?

Cruz FINALLY figured out how to crawl!

We are so proud of him! I was seriously wondering if he would crawl or walk first.

(I was trying to film in a way that didn't make my house look messy. Then, I forgot and zoomed out while filming. Oops! Just pretend like it looks clean!)

Tyler and Cruz

A few weeks ago, Tyler and Cruz fell asleep together on the couch. It was really cute. Stuff like this never happens with these two, so had to get a picture to document it!
