Good Morning

Mace woke up too early today. I tried to feed him and lay him back in his crib, but he didn't sleep. After listening to him cry for a while, I brought him in our room. This is something we will do on the weekends when Tyler and I are both home. We usually play. Today, Mace only wanted to keep eating. Once he was full, he fell back asleep. He slept till 8:45!

Good Morning

to my sweet little bedhead boy!

Gotta love the view from the top!

Before he got in the bath! Love it!

An afternoon with Belle and Cinderella

Every Wednesday I get to hang out with two of my nieces! It is great! Today, I curled their hair and then they dressed up as their favorite Disney characters! We listened to Colbie Caillat and danced for over an hour!
They are such fun girls!

Orange part 2

Today Mace had macaroni with beef and vegetables. (I know, sounds really good right?) As I was giving him the first bite, I thought about taking off his perfectly white onesie. I didn't really want to take him out of the high chair, and undress him, so I told myself I would just be really careful.
Mace had different plans. . . .

. . . . So much for being careful! Oh well. I guess I should have undressed him in the first place!

Goodbye

Last night, we went to a farewell party for Kyle and Liz!

We are going to miss them. They are leaving for Guatemala, with the Peace Corps at the end of the month. I think it is wonderful that they are doing this. They are going to do so many great things, and I am jealous! Kyle and Liz are great friends. For example, one time we planned to go camping together. Tyler and I didn't pack the correct clothing and I ended up being very cold. They both offered me a pair of pants! Now, this might seem like something anyone would do, but it really meant a lot me. I know that they would do something like that for ANYONE! These are people who know what they want in life, and what is important to them.
I wish them all the luck in the world, and can't wait to see them in July 2012!

Silhouette Fun

Yesterday, we went on an adventure!
Tyler told me about this place he ran by once. He said it looked like it was a good place to go bouldering. It was fun and a little scary. There were a lot of good holds, but it was high up, and there wasn't a good place to put the crash pad. Tyler climbed up three times, but I only climbed once. Mace woke up and I volunteered to hold him.

After, we tried taking some fun pictures while the sun was setting!

We edited some of them and left others they way we took them. I think they are really cool!

Mace tried Cheetos today! It was love at first taste!

I don't know how, but there was orange EVERYWHERE!!

At least he knows how to lick those fingers clean!

First Hair Cut

Mace got his first hair cut yesterday!

Thanks Whit for doing such a great job! We are lucky to have you in our family! By-the-way, I need a haircut soon! Thanks!

April Fool's Day!

I really love April Fool's Day.
I love the fun and teasing.
I even love it when I fall for a joke.
Most of all, I love it when Tyler falls for a joke!

This is what I did while Mace was taking a nap.
I told Tyler Mace fell and hit his head on the coffee table.

I left the band-aids on for most of the afternoon. At one point during the evening, I was ready to pull them off and say, "April Fool's" but Mace started crying. I simply said, "It's okay, mommy won't touch it!"

Here is a close-up!
"April Fool's Dad! We got you!" Poor Tyler was tricked again!
He pretended to start punching me while saying, "Not funny! You are not funny!"
(We reenacted this pose. The original face Tyler made was much more shocked.)
Here is Mace without the band-aids. I put a little bit of dark blue eye shadow around the band-aids to make it look like it was starting to bruise.

. . . . Now, I need to start thinking of things for next year.

Easter Weekend!

Last weekend, we drove to St. George. We stayed with Kourtney and Luke in their new house! Which, Kourtney has decorated super cute! I want her to come to my house and help me decorate!

We went climbing in Crawdad Canyon with some great friends!
